Groups
Groups is the class workspace in the teacher app. Go to /teacher/groups to manage rosters, subjects, teaching goals, student records, shared materials, and progress.
What You Can Do
- Create, rename, and delete groups
- Add, rename, and delete students
- Add subjects used for filtering records and AI context
- Create and activate teaching goals by group and subject
- Open student progress cards
- Export assessment records to DOCX
- Generate secure student progress links
- Share teaching materials with a group
Group Tabs
Each group opens into a tabbed workspace:

Student Progress Cards
Click a student to see their records in one place:
- Assessments saved from Assessment generator
- Graded tests saved from Test grader
- Activity results
- Manual grades
- Progress indicators
- Shared materials where available
Student history can be used as context when generating future assessments.
Teaching Goals
Teaching goals live inside Groups, not on a separate page. Active goals are used by Assessment generator and Lesson planner when the selected group and subject match.
Create goals that describe the current unit or learning objective, then deactivate them when the class moves on.
Student Progress Links
Use the Share tab to create a secure public link for one student. The link opens a read-only student view without requiring an account. Revoke links when they should no longer be accessible.
Organization Teachers
Organization teachers can view assigned groups and only the subjects their admin has granted. They cannot create, rename, delete, or modify groups or students. They can still use assigned groups in teacher workflows where their permissions allow it.
