Lesson planner

Lesson planner generates structured lesson plans in two steps. First you generate learning objectives, then you customize them and generate the complete plan.

Step 1 - Generate Learning Objectives

  1. Go to Lesson planner (/teacher/lesson-planner)
  2. Choose a subject
  3. Choose an age range
  4. Optionally pick a group, so the AI can use that group's active Learning Outcomes for the subject
  5. Describe the topic and details, with speech-to-text available
  6. Click Generate objectives

The AI returns learning objectives, key topics, an estimated duration, and a lesson type.

Step 2 - Customize and Generate the Plan

  • Review and edit the learning objectives (up to 8)
  • Add or remove key topics (up to 5)
  • Set the lesson duration
  • Choose the lesson type
  • Add optional additional instructions for the plan
  • Click Generate lesson plan

Step 3 - Edit, Save, and Export

  • Edit the generated plan in the built-in editor (the plan is saved automatically to your Lesson planner history)
  • Open, rename, or delete saved plans from the history sidebar
  • Download the plan as DOCX or PDF for printing or sharing

Personalization

Lesson planner uses your saved default lesson requirements and any training examples you add under personalization, so generated plans match your teaching style. Picking a group brings in its active Learning Outcomes for the subject, making the objectives and plan more specific to your current curriculum focus. Each generation step uses one AI request.

Teaching With It

A generated plan opens in the same editor teaching materials use, so you can save it straight into your materials library, refine it, and reuse it next year — see From generation to the classroom. The single biggest quality lever is the group's active Learning Outcomes: keep them current and every plan aims at what the class is actually working on (Learning Outcomes, every tool).
