Managing Teachers
Manage teacher access from the Teachers page (/org/teachers), titled Connected teachers.
How Teacher Access Works
Teachers can only sign up under your organization if their email address is on your linked emails list. Adding an email allows that person to create an organization teacher account. Removing an email prevents sign-in until it is re-added.
Email addresses are matched in lowercase, so capitalization does not matter.
Adding a Teacher Email
- Enter the teacher's email address
- Click Add address
The email appears with a Pending badge until the teacher signs up. Once they create their account, the badge changes to Registered.
Removing a Teacher Email
Click the delete icon next to an email and confirm. If the teacher has an active account, they lose access to the platform. Their account is scheduled for deletion unless access is restored.
Assigning Classes
Once a teacher is registered, click Assign classes next to their email. A modal lists your organization classes with a checkbox each; select which classes the teacher can access and click Save. The button is disabled for emails that have not registered yet.
Subject-Level Access
For each assigned class that has subjects, a Subjects button opens a list where you choose which subjects the teacher can see and use. This matters because records and AI context are filtered by subject.
Use subject-level access when:
- Multiple teachers share one class but teach different subjects
- A specialist should see only their subject area
- You want an org teacher's records, AI context, and activities limited to assigned subjects
Subjects available to a teacher are defined by the class's subjects, which are managed on the Classes page. Removing a subject from a class also removes it from every teacher's subject access for that class.
What Organization Teachers Can and Cannot Do
Organization teachers use the same teacher tools as individual teachers. They can view their assigned classes and students, use active Learning Outcomes from the organization library, and work only within the subjects they have access to.
Organization teachers cannot create, rename, delete, or modify classes or students. Class structure, student lists, and teacher assignments are controlled by the organization admin.
