Test grader
Test grader is the default teacher landing page. Take a photo of a student's written test and AI grades it question by question with scores, feedback, and improvement suggestions.
How to Grade a Test
- Open the Test grader (
/teacher/test-grader) - Capture a photo using the built-in camera or upload an image from your device
- Use zoom when you need to capture handwriting clearly
- Select the student from one of your groups
- Enter a test name and context describing the test
- Click Grade
- Review the per-question scores, feedback, and improvement suggestions
- Save the result to the selected student's profile when you want it included in their progress history
- Download the graded test as a PDF if you need a shareable copy
What Gets Saved
Saved graded tests appear on the student's Progress Card with the test name, subject context, scores, feedback, and improvement suggestions. This lets Test grader results sit alongside assessments, activities, and manual grades.
Default Requirements
Set recurring grading instructions in Account settings -> Personalization -> Test grader. Use this for marking policies, preferred feedback style, point-scale rules, or subject-specific expectations you do not want to retype every time.
Tips for Accurate Grading
- Make sure the photo is clear and well lit
- Use zoom to capture handwriting details
- Include the subject, grading criteria, and any special expectations in the context
- Add a clear test name so it is easy to find in the student's history later
