Flowee
Flowee is the AI assistant built into the teacher app. Open it from the Flowee button in the teacher navbar, from the mobile menu, or with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + F.
Flowee is available to individual teachers and organization teachers. Organization admins do not see Flowee.
What Flowee Can Do
Flowee answers teaching workflow questions, explains what is on the current page, guides you to the right page or button, and helps you plan lessons, assessments, activities, materials, groups, and student workflows. It is page-aware — it knows which page you are on so its help is relevant.
Flowee is a tool-using assistant. With your permission it can act on your TeachersFlow data through tools across five categories:
- Read — look up activities, groups, students, Learning Outcomes, lesson plans, teaching materials, assessment chats, and training documents
- Create — create groups, students, grades, assessments, Learning Outcomes, activities, and teaching materials
- Generate — generate lesson plans, student assessments, activity notes, and images
- Edit — edit activities, materials, assessments, grades, Learning Outcomes, and student notes
- Delete — delete activities, lesson plans, materials, groups, students, grades, assessments, and Learning Outcomes
Each tool is set to Auto (runs without asking) or Ask first (Flowee pauses and shows an approval card before acting). When an action needs approval, you can Allow or Deny it, and optionally choose to always allow that tool in future. You control these settings per tool (see Settings below).
Chats
Flowee supports multiple chat threads. Use the history sidebar to:
- Start a new chat
- Switch between chats
- Rename a chat
- Delete a chat
New chats are automatically titled from the first message. You can also attach one image to a message by clicking the image button or pasting from the clipboard. Messages are limited to 1,000 characters; press Ctrl/Cmd + Enter to send.
Settings
The gear icon in Flowee opens Account settings -> Personalization -> Flowee, where you can adjust:
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Personalization | Custom instructions for how Flowee should behave and communicate |
| Tools | Set each tool to Auto or Ask first |
| Memory | Review, edit, or delete the notes Flowee has saved about you |
Flowee automatically saves relevant things you share during conversations as memory notes (up to 20); older notes are replaced when new ones are saved.
Request Usage
Each Flowee message that asks AI to respond uses one AI request. Reading or editing Flowee settings and memory notes does not use requests.
Teaching With It
Flowee is most useful for requests that cross features — "look at Anna's last three graded tests and draft written feedback," "create a keyword activity about the water cycle for 7B" — because it reads the same context the rest of the app builds up. It grows with your account: the more groups, goals, and records you keep, the more it can actually do. Usage patterns, consent setup, and memory tips: Flowee in your workflow.
